Occasionally we have a little extra fun with our vinyl and will spontaneously create a short run of existing records on cool colored vinyl...only a few hundred copies of this 7” have been made on Gold colored vinyl! The Spiders crawled into the studio in the autumn of 1965 to cut an original, “Why Don’t You Love Me,” for the Mascot label, where the single was pressed, as usual, in a run of 500. By early 1966, the Spiders slithered into Tucson’s Copper State Studios as Forster Cayce twiddled the knobs for their second single. Featured here is a previously unheard WILD version of the fuzz rave-up “Don’t Blow Your Mind,” plus an unissued instrumental take of “Why Don’t You Love Me”. An original copy of either single is impossible to find today at any price, all because of the band’s next transformation: to the genre and gender-splicing Alice Cooper. We bring this to you straight from the original masters and occasionally we have a little extra fun with our vinyl and will spontaneously create a short run of existing records on cool colored vinyl...only a few hundred copies of this 7” have been made on on Gold colored vinyl!
