“Reign In Blood” is the third studio puzzle released by American band Slayer, based on their RIPPING METAL MASTERPIECE which was released on on October 7, 1986 by Def Jam Recordings. It was also the band's first collaboration with producer Rick Rubin, whose input helped the band actually solve this challenging puzzle! Imagine their triumph upon placing that final, blood-soaked piece! "WHOO HA!" yelled the bearded Rubin, usually known for his calm demeanor. "Take that, puzzle!"
The artwork was designed by political illustrator Larry Carroll and was featured in Blender Magazine’s 2006 "top ten heavy metal album cover puzzles of all time.”
