Smashing Times - Come Along With Me Lp [K / Perennial]

Fun UK Indie Style rocking - think TVPs / Creation Records with their own spin. Dig it!

“Well knock me down with a feather... Here tis' in your lucky mitts lies the primordial cassette canoodlings that emanated up from some far flung Baltimore basement by those most surely now, near mythical Smashing Times.  Stately field recordings that seemingly straddle the void between  a burgeoning subterranean folk rock renaissance, yet briefly encounter  shimmering diy jangle popisms of this old curmudgeons youthquake,  without a hint of revisionism ritual, or something trendy (like a emotional complex) The quintet in question perambulate thru 15 (?) dizzying tracks of whimsical art-pop prowess,  conjuring up a labyrinth of gear fabness, defying cultural tedium, that you'll be smashed  blocked before teatime and soon to bed.  So get the picture and lend an ear to the Smashing Times.”
