GONERFEST 18 COVID PRECAUTIONS / SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

DO NOT ATTEND if any of the following is true for you or anyone in your party:

• Within 14 days before attending the festival you have tested positive, or been exposed to someone who has tested positive for, COVID-19.
• Within 48 hours prior to attending the festival, you have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g., a fever of 100.4F or higher, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking muscle pain/aches, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue or any other symptoms associated with COVID-19 identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).
• Within 14 days prior to attending the festival, you have travelled to any international territory identified by federal or applicable state or local governments as being subject to travel or quarantine advisories due to COVID-19.

WILL MASKS BE REQUIRED AT GONERFEST?

Yes. Masks are required at Gonerfest.

I LOST MY WRISTBAND, WHAT DO I DO?

Email Gonerfest@gmail.com and we will arrange to get you a new wristband.

ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED?

Unfortunately, we are only allowing vaccinated people into the festival. If your child is 12 or over and vaccinated, they are welcome to attend with an adult.

I AM VACCINATED, CAN I JUST SHOW MY PAPER CARD OR A PHOTO OF MY VACCINE CARD TO GET IN?

Yes.

I AM VACCINATED AND HAVE AN APP THAT PROVES I AM VACCINATED. CAN I USE THAT?

We are not up to date on all the different apps from different states. We will try to be ready for a variety of ways that people can prove they are vaccinated, but we are relying on photos of your vaccination card, if not the card itself, to prove vaccination.

I BOUGHT TICKETS OVER A YEAR AGO AND THERE WERE NO VACCINE REQUIREMENTS, WHY DID YOU CHANGE THE RULES?

When we decided to hold Gonerfest, we had hope that COVID was lifting, that people would be vaccinated, and that things would be much more under control than they are now. We are doing all we can to make the festival as safe as possible.

THE VACCINE IS A CONSPIRACY, FORKS AND QUARTERS NOW STICK TO PEOPLE'S SKIN BECAUSE THEY ARE MAGNETIC, AND THE TEST WAS CREATED TOO QUICKLY AND IS TOO INVASIVE FOR MY LIKING, WHAT DO I DO?

You should just stay home and protect yourself. And stay off the internet.

 

A MESSAGE FROM GONER

Let us start by saying thank you for having faith in us to run a safe festival this year. We take safety at the festival very seriously. Everyone’s health is foremost in our minds in all our decisions. Many of us have children or other people among our families and friends who cannot be vaccinated. Even if we are vaccinated, we can spread COVID to these people more susceptible to the virus. We want to keep transmission to a minimum, and create as safe an event as we can.

It is for these reasons that we are requiring proof of vaccination to attend Gonerfest this year, whether it is as a participant, band, or worker.

We have moved all events outside, and masks are required while at Gonerfest.

Thanks for your consideration and patience in all this.

Again, we are offering refunds to anyone who is not comfortable coming this year for whatever reason.
