MEMPHIS NAKATANI GONG ORCHESTRA PERFORMER INFORMATION
We are very excited for the NAKATANI GONG ORCHESTRA performance on Sunday, November 13.
The Gong Orchestra consists of volunteer gong players! We need you!
Please read the following to determine if you might be able to perform:
The NGO needs a total of 14 gong players and 2 back-ups in case of emergency=16 total performers.
-The 14 gong players are typically comprised of performers with a background in music, but all types of instrumentalists and singers/levels of players are welcome.
-Gong players must be available for the performance, as well as the training workshop (2.5 hrs) which will be held the day of the performance. This training is done on a tight schedule and performers must arrive on time or early to the workshop. (NOTE: Training workshops are not open to the public)
-NGO is open to gong players 18 and over, who have basic communication skills, the ability to follow directions, be on time, and have respect for the project and the other players.
-VERY IMPORTANT! Keep in mind that playing large gongs is physically demanding work! This is a long, tough, demanding day!
