The first installment of our Power Pop compilation series dedicated to North American rare, unreleased and obscure Power Pop songs! We know that’s hard to believe in an era where pretty much everything can be found somewhere online or has been documented somewhere. For this first volume, we’ve put together a bucket of tunes containing 14 tracks of pure pop magnificence that will take you on a coast to coast tour where you’ll find yourself digging through never before released songs from the likes of NYC’s Treble Boys, Texas’s Bruce Moody and Quebec, Canada’s Benjamin Russell among others. We’ve also uncovered songs taken from short run vinyl pressings like Indiana’s Magic Company, Delaware’s Native, The Movies or Missouri’s The Artists, just to name a few!

For the most part, these songs have always been hiding in the shadows and just didn’t get the attention they deserved while never really making it past the regional market. We think you’ll agree that these songs deserve their right places in the spotlight. Meanbean Records have brought these Power Pop nuggets back to life so that you can experience them for yourself – all at once, in one single place! This release is limited to 500 copies with the permission and cooperation of all the bands involved.The LP comes with Meanbean’s own personal liner notes of each song, a Map Display Poster insert showing each band’s hometown with picture and more.
