Bart and the Brats - Missed Hits LP [Sweet Time]

« Missed Hits » is the fourth Long Player from La Rochelle, France’s own Snot Rock machine Bart and the Brats.

Eleven new tracks recorded, as usual, with wizard of weird Lo’Spider at Swampland in Toulouse, but this time mastered by one Jim Kuczkowski, a name you might remember from eye-licking your beloved Rip Off Records record covers… Yes, the blood relations are obvious, with the black and white, cut and paste front, the Kids’ cover and whatnot, but there’s more than that here.

« Nothing too bad », for example, is also a nod to more contemporary gunk and fans of the Spits and all their descendancy will be pleased with the various delights they’ll find on this platter released by Nashville’s up and coming Sweet Time Records.

Production is top notch and you can hear Bart and Lo’ took more time than usual to cut these toe tappers to the perfect fit. You’ll be thanking both while banging your head against the nearest wall… Trying to maintain a certain level of sanity while witnessing whatever it is we are rushing through as a species is actually the main theme of the record, and, well, it takes what it takes !
