Memphis' Nights Like These is an interesting blip in the hardcore/metal underground of the mid-2000's. Labeled "metalcore", the band found quick success by signing to Victory Records and hitting the road to support their first LP "The Faithless". Originally recorded at God City by their engineer of choice Kurt Ballou (Converge, etc.), the band had to shelve the entire project and re-record. What Victory released was not their intention, but the band enjoyed a few more years of touring and recording until they left the label and disbanded entirely. 18 years after being recorded, the God City Sessions are available for the first time in any format through Seasick Records in Birmingham.
